Athletic Leadership Council
The mission of the Leadership Council is to: 1.) spread awareness of BUHS Athletics within BUHS and in the larger community. 2.) Increase school spirit 3.)Discuss relevant issues to BUHS Athletes - BUHS Coaches nominate students to ALC. Activities include the Pep Rally, Chuck a Duck- Feed 1000’s monthly meetings, weekly Game Announcements and 8th Grade Orientations |

BUHS QSA
The mission of the BUHS Queer/Straight Alliance is to build a safe, healthy and supportive environment for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, queer and questioning youth and their allies. Our goal is to make BUHS the safest, most supportive and empowering school for LGBTQQIA youth in the State of Vermont. We strive to accomplish our mission by partnering with Outright Vermont and through education and increasing awareness of LGBTQQIA issues at BUHS, throughout history and within the State of Vermont. |

Mock Trail
Mock Trial club is a fun way for students to practice critical thinking skills and public speaking. Each year, our team is given a competition case to prepare. Students take on roles as attorneys or witnesses and develop a strategy for the prosecution or defense. In April, the team travels to Vermont Law School to compete against other Vermont high schools. |

National Honor Society
The National Honor Society is a national organization. Membership in the NHS is an honor that is widely recognized throughout the US and helpful on college applications. The BUHS Student Council strives to serve as a bridge between students and the administration. Our main priority is advocating for student voice! We run Project Feed the Thousands, make meals for the overflow shelter, assist on Freshman First day, and so much more. Our motto is work hard, play hard. The BUHS Unified Club
The Unified Club at BUHS provides opportunities for students who may have disabilities and those who do not have a disability to play sports, share experiences, and build community together. We hope this leads to reduced bullying and exclusion and the elimination of hurtful language in schools. There is a meaningful opportunity for each and every student at BUHS to participate in Unified activities! |

The Dial
The Dial is BUHS Art and Literacy Magazine and is one of the oldest traditions in the school. Students who participate curate art and writing to be included in the yearly publication of the magazine |
The BUHS Yearbook
Students who join the Yearbook editing staff help design pages, take photos and organize the BUHS annual Yearbook. Students learn how to use an online design program through Jostens. Students who are interested in design and graphic arts are encouraged to join. |

The Garrick Society
Website The Garrick Society is a BUHS Theatre Honor Society for students who have made a significant contribution to the BUHS Theatre Program. The Society seeks to promote and foster excellence in the theatre arts, and, this year, will begin offering periodic workshops for students interested in theatre arts. |

BUHS Student Environmental and Young Naturalists
This group engages with local and national Environmental Issues and Social Justice. We do things like River Cleanups and advocacy on school and local issues. We are currently working with Administration and Cafe Services to remove plasticware from our cafeteria, as well as plans to increase awareness of climate and pollution issues |
