Portrait of a Graduate

What is a Portrait of a Graduate?

A Portrait of a Graduate is a vision that articulates the collective hopes and dreams that a community has for its students; and the skills and attributes that all students need in order to be prepared for college, career and life.  "Great Schools Partnership"

In the fall of 2024 a diverse steering committee made up of students, teachers, school leaders, families and community members brainstormed potential attributes of a graduate and developed a survey to hear directly from the wider community. This collaborate effort helped craft the WSESU Portrait of a Graduate which will serve as a compass for our district. It will anchor curriculum, shape instructional priorities and help us make decisions that prioritize students. Our Portrait of a Graduate reflects the collective voice of our community-and our collective commitment to our student's future.
