About Us.Brattleboro Union High School is a comprehensive, public school tucked into the southeast corner of Vermont. BUHS has about 900 students in grades 9-12 and has an attached Middle School serving grades 7 and 8 and the Windham Regional Career Center serving students from communities in the Brattleboro Area. Our educational community values respect for others and our environment, relevance in curriculum, and shared responsibility for ensuring that all students feel welcomed and supported.

Our Community
Students at BUHS are offered diverse learning opportunities around every corner and it is our commitment to engage students in our greater community. Students must complete 40 hours of community service before they graduate. We offer several programs that provide learning outside of the classroom. Click on the link below to find out more.
Our Programs
Our school has a wide range of course offerings from the traditional to cutting edge courses in areas such as Television Production, Graphic Design and Advanced Biology. All of our teachers are rated “highly qualified” by the State of Vermont. Many of our upper level courses offer dual high school and college credit from schools in Vermont and New Hampshire.
