English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
English for Speakers of Other Languages, (ESOL), classes are designed for students whose primary language is not English. Students are tested using ACCESS to determine their English language proficiency and placed in an ESOL level according to their skill. Students progress through levels by mastering standards in the areas of comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing. The goal of this program in accordance with state and federal mandates is to reach native level English in all four competency areas.
